Kitchen Remodel - Painting

7/4/2012

Chuck and I scheduled four days for painting. I bought a gallon of drywall primer and a gallon of the best paint Sherwin Williams carried. The paint cost $46.00 a gallon on sale! My grandparents were painters and never used any other brand. Chuck rolled while I cut with a brush.  The first coat used up the gallon so I had to go back and buy another. I chose a soft yellow creamy color called Full Moon. I remembered why I chose sponge painting when I moved here eight years ago - it covered up 50 years of bumps on the wall!  We sanded and spackled as best we could. By Saturday we had all but a little touch-up done. Chuck then finished the wiring and added the light above the sink. This is actually the worst week yet of the project since the fridge and corner cabinet is in the hall. It is like living in a rat maze trying to get through the house!
