After visiting a couple of design stores recommended by friends, I honed in my search at the local home stores. Mendards and Ikea cupboards were on the lower end, cost-wise and as far as quality. I choose Innermost Cabinets, sold at Home Depot. They have dovetailed drawers that pull out all the way, adjustable soft-close doors, and best of all, space saving features and drawer hardware. My original cupboards had no framing and we already decided we wanted flat surface doors for easy cleaning. I studied their catalog and chose cherry wood with pecan finish with the St. Lucia door. I was very excited about my first appointment with the kitchen designer.
